PROJECT MANAGER

What does your day to day with us look like

  • Ensure that the agreed upon deadlines are met and that the quality of the work performed is maintained while ensuring a safe environment.
  • Coordinate the "Project Kick-Off" meeting with all involved parties
  • Evaluate the appropriateness of established deadlines and, if necessary, renegotiate more realistic deadlines with those involved
  • Review the information and data available on a given project to be able to identify, jointly with the project manager, the site superintendent to whom the work supervision mandate will be entrusted
  • Identify and communicate to the concerned stakeholders the key elements of the project that they must take into account
  • Negotiate and award contracts to subcontractors and provide the necessary information to the assistant project manager in order to issue the subcontract according to the company's procedures
  • Make the plans issued for construction available to the subcontractors
  • Order the necessary materials and equipment and give the information to the assistant project manager in order to issue the purchase order
  • Follow up with regular and punctual meetings with the concerned persons before the realization of each important step of the project to ensure the respect of the established deadlines and other key elements of the project
  • Establish and agree, if necessary, with the persons concerned on the implementation of appropriate corrective measures
  • Act as a resource person and link between the various internal and external stakeholders involved in the execution of the project
  • Ensure the quality of the work carried out as well as the prevention of health and safety issues
  • Regularly monitor budgeted and actual costs to identify variances
  • Provide, as needed, the accounting department with information and data related to the processing of subcontractors' invoices
  • Follow up to ensure that the amount invoiced to subcontractors is in line with the value of the work performed and/or the agreements established with them
  • Follow up periodically on amounts to be invoiced to clients 
  • Follow up with appropriate internal and external parties to identify legitimate additional work not covered by the contract that should be billed to clients
  • Oversee the duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Project Manager and evaluate their annual performance.


What do you need to ensure Excellence in your role? 

  • 5-7 years of solid experience in project management in high rise/retail construction for big projects from conception to delivery
  • Construction related education (Architecture / Engineering / Project Management)
  • Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency with MS Office including MS Project and Procor
  • Capacity to wok under pressure and set priorities tasks while multi-tasking and handling various trades and projects and handle projects to the start to finish.
  • Available to work in the office and in the construction fields.
  • Available and has necessary certifications to visit job sites across Canada and the USA
  • Solid experience in project planning, estimating, scheduling, cost controls, project administration and contract management.
  • Demonstrated competence in the areas of safety, workforce management, quality and project execution
  • Strong interpersonal communication and leadership skills interacting directly with clients’ architects, consultants, contractors, trades. Etc..

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER

What does your day to day with us look like

CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT

What does your day to day with us look like

  • Coordinate & supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety regulations
  • Manage and lead a team of subcontractors, ensuring efficient collaboration and effective communication among all parties involved
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and clients, to ensure project objectives are met and client satisfaction is achieved.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including daily progress reports, material logs and safety records
  • Oversee the procurement of construction materials, equipment, and subcontractor services, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effective solutions
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment, providing guidance, support and mentoring to the construction team
  • Organize construction activities and ensure the completion of assigned tasks are completed by the site workforce and subcontractors.
  • Responsible and accountable for ensuring the work performed is in accordance with the most recent project plans and specifications.
  • Ensure the site and all activities adhere to all safety regulations, rules and safety manual.
  • Responsible and accountable for site reporting requirements on Procore – safety documentation, equipment tracking, look-a-heads, daily log, etc.
  • Construction foreman / site superintendent Reporting to the project manager, you will manage the site’s subcontractors, monitor the work schedule and execution, read plans, follow up and coordinate with suppliers.
  • Manage/Coordinate the delivery to site of all materials and equipment in a timely manner and as required by the project schedule.
  • Understand the scope of work and ensure it is well communicated to all trades.
  • Report and keep current all daily log activities on site in Procore.
  • Check and prepare material orders and items related to the work they supervise.
  • Maintain site files on supplies, equipment, and services.
  • Supervise inspections performed by field engineers, AHJ, subcontractors, and any external participant.
  • Identify and eliminate risks and identify and document the hazards.'

 

What do you need to ensure Excellence in your role/Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role, demonstrating successful project management and leadership skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and best practices, with a focus on quality control and safety.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering collaborative relationships with team members, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, construction plans, and specifications.
  • Solid understanding of construction laws, regulations, and building codes.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and effectively manage project challenges.
  • Bilingual
  • 10 to 15 years in a construction field, ability to work under pressure.
  • DEC in architecture or building technology or similar in the construction field is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license, ability to use a tablet or computer, e-mail, Excel, GANT etc...
  • Maintain control of the work on site and ensure progress of work occurs in compliance with the project schedule. Communicate the schedule and any impacts to the project team.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office software; Tech-savvy with various computer software’s.

INTERIOR DESIGN COORDINATOR

What does your day to day with us look like

  • Help the client select appropriate materials for interior finishes & furniture;
  • Create made-to-measure furnishings & millwork on AutoCAD (such as; light fixtures, kitchens, vanities, built-ins, etc.);
  • Produce 2D and 3D color renderings in Photoshop;
  • Do the presentations to the clients;
  • Prepare various schedules with concerned parties;
  • Review shop drawings for furniture & millwork;
  • Meet with suppliers to review design details of projects & follow-ups;
  • Manage projects from conception to delivery, while respecting timelines;
  • Conduct site visits as required by the project; 
  • Any other related task as required;

 

What do you need to ensure Excellence in your role?

  • 5 to 7 years of experience, preferably in Residential Interior Design/Architecture and/or Construction
  • Proficient with AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, Procore, GoogleSheets, Google Drive.
  • Fully bilingual: French and English (verbally and in written).

    What does your day to day with us look like

     

    • Keep the warehouse tidy and clean
    • Check equipment returning from job sites and ensure it is in working order
    • Clean, maintain and classify equipment and materials
    • Prepare orders for various job sites
    • Deliver and collect materials and equipment
    • Maintain and service trucks
    • Perform maintenance and repair tasks both in the warehouse and elsewhere
    • equipment
    • Any other related tasks

    Qualifications

    • Valid class 5 driver's license.
    • Able to drive cube trucks
    • Experience in delivery.
    • Autonomous and responsible.
    • Be handy and resourceful.
